Sep. 4th, 2005 10:23 amThe Lemonade Stand made over $350! Not too bad :)
Spent a lot of time yesterday venting and discussing with friends and found that we are all of similar minds regarding the whole disaster and the response to it (and the resopnse to the response). Considering my friends and I generally engage in healthy political debate (i.e. we don't always agree), we have decided we are all heartened to know that it's "not just us" that are asking the same questions.
However, I am Katrina'd out. Must dive into news black hole for a couple days. If I can't keep the TV turned off, then my methods may be dire: start up a game of Civilization.
Oh, and in between ranting, I introduced a friend to 3 episodes of Remington Steele. I hadn't watched these for years and years, and was pleased to find that the show has weathered well -- even if some of the fashions have not! The writing was tight, the dialogue crisp, the supporting cast well-chosen. What fun!!
