A Crackin' Good Movie
Jul. 9th, 2005 12:49 amI haven't seen a great movie in a long time, but my TiVo retrieved K19 - The Widowmaker yesterday, and I just finished watching it. It's fun to sit down and watch a movie that I didn't know was any good, and find it totally riveting. What with the ticket prices and the hassle, I never go to movies anymore unless I know for sure it's something I'm going to enjoy, or something that needs to be seen on the big screen. About the only thing that would get me out of my house at this point is a new HP movie.
Anyway, K19 is a true story (albeit somewhat Hollywoodified) that was the inspiration for that other great Russian submarine film, The Hunt for Red October. I personally feel that as much as I loved Red October, K-19 was better. Except I missed Sam Neill :) But Liam Neeson somewhat made up for it.
Highly recommended!
On another note, been doing battle with my sinuses for weeks now. I hate feeling so fatigued and blah. I just drugged up so at least I'll be able to sleep. Gah.
