Well, that was bracing
Jun. 14th, 2005 09:32 pmNow here's a first: a Tsunami warning!
No cause for panic, just ... mild annoyance.
The local media handled this absolutely horribly -- I find out about a Tsunami Warning from internet news, and when I turn to my local news radio, they're in the middle of a sports show. None of the locals or networks on tv are saying anything. One warning says "8:45-9:15pm" and another warning says "10:00pm". The USGS and the NWS can't agree on what to warn us about; and NOAA isn't saying anything. So I just sit here and figure that if something hits San Francisco they'll warn us well enough. Shrug.
As of 9:30, there is no tsunami. Can I go to bed now?
