Attack of the Random Car Dent

I bought a new car in 2011 -- it was one heck of splurge and I'm just about done paying for it (2 years early, yay me!) and I've managed to keep it 100% free of door dings, scratches, and other damage.
Until today.
I'm driving along in a residential area, minding my own business. To my right there is a school playground, predictably, with kids. Playing. I don't think much of it, but suddenly, out of nowhere comes a humongous
THWACK!
And an object bounces across my field of vision. I'm startled, of course, and I realize it was just a softball.
THAT BOUNCED ON THE HOOD OF MY PERFECT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!
And now... there's a dimple in my hood. In the grand scheme of dents, it's not that big of a deal. But still it's the principle of the thing. Getting it fixed will cost less than my deductable, and there's no point in even dealing with insurance.
And really, the body shop will probably laugh me off, except for the part where I tell them to shut up and take my money, just get this dimple off my hood!
Sadface.
